A brand photography session is a great way to create visual content for your website and social media platforms. Last year I had the pleasure to work with Near & Native, a Maine-based candle company. I have fun on all of my brand photography sessions. But this one was a real treat.

Brand photography session with Near & Native owner Hannah Martin

The founder, Hannah, was updating her website and needed a suite of cohesive images. We wanted to give her audience a feel for what it is like to be in the workshop with her. To do this, we captured image of her and the team prepping vessels, labeling and pouring wax, and finalizing orders.

Hannah also wanted a collection of styled images with her various product lines. Near & Native offers a line of signature scents, as well as custom candles for brands, events, and wedding party gifts.

I loved this brand photography session because it was equal parts cozy, creative, and fun. Collaborating with the team at Near & Native was so much fun, because we could build on an already existing brand by giving the visual assets of the brand a refresh.

My favorite candle from Near & Native? Driftwood & Oud. 10/10 recommend if you like earthy, cozy scents that make you want to curl up with a good book.
