Newborn sessions are such a joy. A twin newborn photography session is doubly joyful. Double the toes. Double the snuggles. This session was filled with love, light, and little fingers and toes. And believe me, I took full advantage of photographing the feet of twins. I'm obsessed with little feet, and this session was no exception.
This session was especially lovely because 3 generations were included. Grandma was able to assist with managing each newborn while mom had some solo time with each baby. The result was a beautiful gallery of images of each baby with mom, with grandma, and with all four of them together.
The image above is so poignant to me. Three generations. Two mothers. Two grandchildren. Endless love and experience. Raising children is one of the most challenging experiences on the planet, and without the right support it can be quite lonely. Capturing the interactions between this mother and daughter, the love and trust is palpable.
And of course we had to get a couple of shots of this sweet girl: mama's first baby. This little pup was adopted by mom a few years before babies were on the horizon. She's taking her role as big sister quite seriously! Pets are a fun addition to a session, and I love seeing how they fit into each family. Witnessing how they protect their new family members is so sweet. The science on animal emotions is beginning to emerge, but I can see the love and pride these little fur balls have for their families.
That newborn stage is such a rollercoaster, and twins throw a few extra loops into the ride. Those extra loops and turns are beautiful and chaotic, and I'm so honored to capture the sweet moments in this family. Are you looking for a twin newborn photography session?
